Should i trade my sony nw a45 for an astell&kern ak70 mkII? What factors should i consider in swapping gears?

I don't have the A45, but I have the A55 and there's a very cool custom firmware mod made by Mr Walkman that u can read about here:

It is reversible, but the FEv2 firmware mod really made my stock A55 sound much much better, sounds like a way more expensive DAP after I downloaded it and did a japan region update. U can ask the rest in the first thread who have tried the mod with their A45, as I don't have it, but some of them seem happy with it.
