Hi,
I'm new to this site. I'm looking at purchasing either a dap or dac/amp. I heard the Calyx m the other day and the sound was amazing. The mids, treble and soundstage were perfect for me. It was like sitting in the front row at a concert which is spot on. However the bass weren't tight enough. Tried different ear buds and in positions. Is there another dap or amp/dac out there like this. I have read about the phatlab chimera seems like a possibility. But not heard it. I would say my budget is upto £800. Any help would be appreciated.

You’re sure it’s not the music or the headphones that aren’t delivering the bass you want? Alternately, look for something with EQ.

The music I'm mainly listening to is mainly blues, old rock which has been recorded well. The bass is there. It felt like the bass weren't tight enough. My headphones I'm using are h audio 10.
