I'm looking for advice for my first significant investment into a DAP.
I currently use a 5th Gen iPod Classic (or my Samsung Galaxy S5) and play through Sennheiser ie8 (on the go) or PSB M4U2 headphones. I am considering an upgrade to a Grado headphone in the future.
My music collection is eclectic but focused around electronica and jazz. I have a large 320kbps mp3 collection and have been recently building up my flac collection (although this is shelved at the moment as it doesn't make much difference on my current rig).
I'm looking in the ~$400 range and have been considering the Fiio X5. I have just been reading a little more about the iBasso DX90 and have again, become confused.
I would appreciate any comments about these two DAPs or any others that may be suited to my circumstance.
