Hello, I am looking to get a DAP and have been pouring over the forums till my eyes bleed 
, but need help. I do not want to stack, so am looking for a Dap that I can play my Hi res FLAC files, but can stream TIDAL. SQ is most important, but also ui, battery... factor in. Will be listening on Heir Audio 4, Flare R2 S, Earsonics Velvet and Ultrasone Signature Pro for now. Have narrowed down to the following, but also will consider others:
Sony NW-ZX2
Onkyo DP-X1
Acoustic Research M2
Acoustic Research M20
Worried about quality of Onkyo,heard a lot of problems with noise from third party apps (Tidal) and quality control. Heard sounds great balanced
Sony, love battery life, worried about old Android OS and lack of updates/support from Sony. Some love sound, others not so much
AR, heard good things, but seems not many people have them and can not audition them.
Any help, recommendations, comparisons, thought would be greatly appreciated
