DAP as home and portable sound system?

I'm considering the FiiOS X5 3rd gen as a possible system for both home and portable use. For home use, I can connect it to powered speakers via line out or Bluetooth. When the battery gets low, I can still play it while it recharges. Is there any reason why using it in this home player configuration might be a hassle?

It's totally fine if you wanna use the x5 for both portable and home use. I don't think there's a hassle at all.

I have the X3 and as long as they are somewhat similar it should work just fine for that

Fiio actually even made the DK1 dock for home use.
