I heard Danielson is releasing an anthology of sorts, so I decided to pull the record out off the shelves and give it a listen and I must say I am sorry I overlooked this gem, awesome music. Undoubtedly not for everyone, but when I listen to a song like "Did I Step on Your Trumpet?" I feel a sense of exhilaration, just seeing if anyone else likes this band/artist whatever you want to call it

Yep, Ships is a very good, albeit quirky, album. It took me a couple listens to really "get it."

I enjoyed Did I Step On Your Trumpet? at first listen though, definitely a great track!

yes ships was the best album to come out that year. i saw danielson three times that summer.
