Hello,
I have a pair of aeon flow closed v1. They recently started to distort only at higher volumes. Especially when the bass hits the vocals distort so many so much I can hardly hear the words. Again, only happens at higher volumes.

Anyone know why this is happening?

Luckily I had 2 months left of warranty and I sent them in to Dan Clark Audio for repair.

Also, anyone had any experience with Dan Clark repair? Time frame for repair?

Did they distort on both channels or just one?

Could be that a hair or other debris was stuck in the driver area. This is common with headphones.

One last thing to check while you are waiting is that your volume / gain settings haven't changed such as PC volume, DAC gain, or amp settings.

I hope you get your headphones back and can update us what they fixed if anything.

Could be the amp / source. What gear are you driving the headphones with? If it were random failure I would not expect both drivers to be exhibiting the same behavior. This indicates more of a jack plug/ cable or amp/DAC issue.
