There's no need, but lower is always theoretically better from a noise standpoint. If you know what your source is going to be and that you won't be changing it any time soon you could go lower to 10k.

Yup. And that would be my preference. But some asthmatic tube output stages could choke on that so opted for 50k so even those sources that need rescue inhalers would be happy.

Because the target is a 50k input impedance.

For the B22 in consideration, the input impedance still is 50k for each individual channel, isn't it? Unless it is a really crappy source...... but I thought IPOSBNBJEKL was going for a Buffalo32?

For each individual channel, yes. But a balanced source will see 100k if you use the 50k DACT. With the 25k DACT, it will see 50k.

Yes. Though who knows what the future may bring?

The guys name from Bent Audio is John and he's very friendly. With regards to using it with a 4 channel DACT, here's what he said:

"Hello!

It will work fine - for the 4 deck units I use a slightly larger (deeper) motor for more torque. I have tested here with up to 6 decks. Best to support the motor a bit with some foam or other material - hanging it on that longer switch is not so good long term. You should also feed it 15Vdc or so for best results. Can test one up and ship in a few days time.

Thanks!

John"
