Hi guys,

My DacMagic Plus doesn't work anymore. I'm hoping to get it fixed under warranty and sell it. What can I replace it with while I wait?

I need a fully balanced DAC/Pre-Amp with balanced XLR outputs, 24bit/192KHz, a volume control (with a volume indicator), remote, and asynchronous USB. Best USB driver, preferably, since I use my PC as a source.

A headphone amp is not necessary if in addition to the XLR outputs, the DAC has unbalanced RCA outputs that I can plug into my Burson HA-160.

Budget is flexible, let's say $500 to $1,000 or so.

Since I was happy with my setup, I haven't been following the audio field for the past three years. What's good right now? Suggestions?

Audio-gd NFB-10.33 or NFB-28? Plus remote, of course.

Thanks!
