Dac1 running hot+24/7 = bad idea?

in summers thought the temp inthe room goes upto about 40C which I think is 125-130F. that would be interesting to see as well



It sounds like Australia really is just a big desert.

well not completely, there are rainforests, mountain ranges ( not real mountains) and places that look more like moon than almost any other place I have seen with the exception of Ladakh which one has to see to believe.

as for temps, it sucks here big time in summers cos the heat is dry heat and not the damp, hmid variety. very bad for the skin if I may say so.

Benchmark finally wrote me back. They said their products were designed for 24/7 operation (hence no power switch), and that temperatures in the upper 90's is completely normal. According to them, the Dac1 has a 20+ year life expectancy. That answers that!
