Hello friends,

I've got a FiiO E07K paired with my Beyerdynamic DT 990 pro and my Audio Technica ATH-M50. However, i can feel that the power is not enough to drive the Beyers. So i wanted to get another amplifier which would be a step-up to the FiiO. The one i'm considering is the Maverick TubeMagic A1 Hybrid (http://www.mav-audio.com/base/product/tube_magic_a1), since it's got tube + ss.

So the question is, if i wanted to use the DAC feature on the FiiO (minus the amplifier part) and connect it to the Maverick, would that be possible? And which connection would be best suited?

Thanks, and again, sorry if i sound totally noob to you guys. I'm just trying to learn more everyday..

what is the impedance of Dt990

have you considered E07/E09 combination? this would work.

You can not by pass the amp of E07.

Other options could be modi/magni or Aune T1.

Why not just get the Maverick Audio D1 Plus.

No need to use the Fiio E07K

I have been considering this, but i feel that i would be letting down my E07K XD

I've got the 250 Ohm Pro version, but my E07K is touching its threshold and am playing it at the volume maxed out (60).

I've heard that the Maverick does wonders with the Beyers but I'll check out the other options you've mentionned. Thanks

Guess it's time to get the E07K a new home, sell it off.
