Im looking for a DAC to pair with a Blockhead. Any recommendations welcome. Please keep price under 2k. Im considering a benchmark DAC1 atm, but am looking for other suggestions.

the benchmark should mate well with the blockhead, blockhead + apogee would be too warm and slow IMO.

I use a Electrocompaniet ECD-1 with my Blockhead and am very pleased with it...can be bought well under your budget.
