if you read some of my recent posts i'm attempting exactly what you're looking for. i have a monica II dac and i'm trying to add a torx179 optical input for my airport express. still figuring out how to wire it up (and cut the nasty little square for the optical input) so i can keep the coax input as well, but once i've got it i could send you the details if you're still interested.
