Hi all,
My setup currently looks like:
HRT Streamer II
Graham Slee Ultra Linear Diamond Amp
Sennheiser HD700 cans
Nordost Phono/QED USB interconnects
I've kept it pretty static for a while but fancy upgrading somewhere. The Amp + Cans seem to be of higher spec than the DAC, so I was thinking about either replacing my DAC or adding a Tube Preamp in to the mix.
Does anyone have an opinion on what's likely to offer most bang for buck? My listening taste is pretty eclectic, so it needs to be adaptable. I'm considering things like Pro-Ject tube preamps, or possibly a Jolida Tube DAC if I can find one second hand somewhere, but i'm very open to other options! I've also looked at some of the Schiit DACs and an iTube 2. I should say that I listen from my PC almost exclusively, so USB would be preferred connection for any DAC (although optical isn't out of the question).
Would really value the thoughts of others!
