Hello

I recently purchased another pair of denon ahc551k's since my last pair broke.(4th pair

) i like them since they have alot of bass and dig pretty low.

The new pair i have sound completely awful on my ipod...the soundstage is very very tiny and there's absolutely no bass @ all. I've tried every eq setting to no avail.

When i use them on my pc going directly to an audigy 2 zs soundcard, they sound the way they're suppose to.

i figured they were fake, but if they were, they would sound the same on my pc and i highly doubt amazon would sell fakes.

I've emailed denon about it but they have yet to respond.

Good idea trying your Denons with your computer but have you tried any other headphones in your Ipod? If they're flat as well you can probably be quite confident the problem is with the Ipod, whatever that problem may be.

I've tried the sony ex51..they still sound the same..

I'm assuming it's the ipod..
