Hi,just need help to choose a dac.My setup now is streaming from Tidal on a MacBook,USB adapter for an Audioquest dragonfly, and using gen 1 woo audio wa7.
The DAC in the original Woo is not the greatest,so for the last few months been using the dragonfly, but I’d like something that is more desktop orinate.
I’d like one that can decode MQA,but it’s not a deal breaker,I’m concerned about a quality dac.
Budget would be 1200 cdn,and the Headphone’s are hd800s.
Any help would be much appreciated since there are lots of them in the market not.

Unfortunately many of these Dacs are not available in Canada.
The IFI is but is a battery powered unit,I’m looking for a desktop solution,I’m thinking that the market is not completely ready for MQA.
I'm not knowledgeable about MQA...........but.
The Audio-GD NFB-11.28 DAC/amp (total cost about $400 shipped to your door) is a good value for use with your HD800 headphones.

Which Dragonfly are you using? Isn't there a firmware upgrade for the black and red to enable MQA decoding?

I have the red,and thanks for the info, did the update and can stream the mqa files on Tidal now.My thinking also was am I missing out on better sound when it comes to the dac,so how much better if I purchase something like Chord 2qute,or qutest, mytek, etc compared to my dragonfly red,are they better, most likely yes but maybe not 10 times better though.
