So I am considering improving my sound system. It now consists of a Marantz PM6003 amplifier and a set of Bowers & Wilkins DS2 speakers from the previous century.
Since I use mainly my PC as source I was thinking of buying a DAC to improve the sound quality. Now I was wondering which one I should take. Considering my current setup, would it be sensible to buy (for instance) a €275 Music Fidelity V-DAC II or would a real budget DAC like the €100 Schiit Modi give the same result? Or should I not look at DACs at all but rather upgrade my speakers?
Any insights would be appreciated!
