My current setup is Xonar STX -> SAC KH1000 -> K1000s
 
What would be a good (decently priced) external DAC up/sidegrade? I tried searching the forums, but couldn't find a thing.

how much of an upgrade (as in perceivable difference) would a vioelectric v800 be compared to the yulong d100/stx?

I think a decent DAC typically runs between $250 and $500 to get the quality I expect.
 
I think the Micro DAC from headroom is pretty nice.

actually, i'm not sure. how much of a difference would i perceive from these two setups assuming I listen to mainly lossless flac music?
