I have a uDAC on order and I am planning on pairing it with my Little Dot MKII and Grado SR80 phones after which I will be listening to rock. I ordered the uDAC primarily based on the favorable initial review on this website and upon digging deeper, it appears the uDAC seems to have a love/hate following and I am now questioning my decision.

Are there currently any other options worth considering in the $100-$150 range?

do you already have the grados sr80 and the amp? because i would expect uDAC to be able to power the grados sr80 pretty well by itself. You can skip amping for now and use the budget to get a higher price lv dac or headphones i.e sr125

uDAC is very popular right now, and its very good value for just $99. Doubt you will have anything that sounds significantly better at that price lv.
