It's probably obvious, but do DAC's that have built in equalizers use a limiter to prevent the signal from clipping when you change the settings from anything other than flat?
It's one of these daft things that's been bugging me slightly for a little while now.
Obviously the shape of the waveform is altered when you "increase the bass" for example. So I assume that they have limiters built in which prevents anything being cut off?
