Hello guys,
My headphones are the DT880 600 ohms and I have an Audio-gd SA31 on arrival in short time: now I need a good DAC. I surfed a lot on the internet and got a lot of info on your wonderful forum, and I have made a selection of the following DACs:

Halide Design HD
Audiolab M-DAC
Micromega MyDac
Wyred4Sound's µDac
KingRex UD384
Meridian Explorer
Arcam rDAC

My budget is in the 200-300 eur with the option to stretch it a bit.
Of course, when considering the M-DAC or the KingRex, I'd probably look into the second hand market.
192 Mhz is not a must yet (I may consider upgrading to another DAC in the future), while the USB input is (at least @96Mhz), as my source is a laptop.
My question is: I often read in the press about "overachievers" and in the eyes of the reader they all seem to be the best bang for the buck, but if you were in my shoes, which one of the listed DACs is your best and why?
Is there, a unit which is really worth stretching the budget?

Thanks a lot for your input.

Cheers,
Marco

Of those choices, I would go with the M-DAC, or the UD-384.
