Hi there guys, figured this was probably the best place to ask.  i've been looking at the Asus Xonar One but am open to other suggestions.

I'm looking for a DAC/AMP that:
1)  can accept multiple inputs including USB, and optical both.
2) unbalanced output
3) seperate volume knobs for headphones and other output (very key)
4) Cheaper the better, but i'm not setting a price limit, open to any suggestions

Anything that goes beyond specs i listed is totally fine by me.  I'm very space limited so smaller form factor is a must.  Asus unit is about the largest i can fit.

Hope to hear some suggestions.

If you're not looking for something portable, the Asus Sonar One seems a pretty good deal for the price.

The Nuforce HDP, yulong D100, Burson Audio HA_160D are recommended under this price range.

You forgot about the HA-160Ds which is smaller.

I like the sound of HeadRoom amps. This combo might be good for you:

or this one:
