Whats the deal with the Denon headphone supply and demand? Company can't keep up? I ordered a pair of D5000 from Provantage on 5/14. After an RMA and frequently changing ship dates, I was told today that they wont be available until at least 8/21 (yet another month).

Anybody have an inside track here? Fostex can't keep up? Too much invested in the upcoming D7000? Slave labor in China went on strike? Someone has to know something...

There for sale if you search around.. My 2000's just shipped, and it was less than what used ones go for here on HF.

Maybe production slowed down due to the Olympics? Then supply can't keep up with demand.

I was able to post my WTB just before this price drop and was able to grab a good deal on a used pair that were hardly broken in for $390. Sure its a bit more than what they're retailing now, but at least I got it. Go post in the for sale threads and someone may be willing to part with them.

good luck
