I'm dead set on getting a new pair of headphones in that price range, excluding Grados. These two seem to be the only alternatives. So, which headphone would you recommend for rock music, a D2000 (possible MarkL mod) or an SRH840?

That's probably what it's gonna take, if I had 400 bucks to blow on cans I'd probably do it...I want to know also, my next can purchase might possibly include these..not just for rock, but I want to know how their soundstage is for gaming too.
