Hi,

I want to buy a PCDP. I wanted to buy Sony's 925 but then I saw pictures of 955 and 1000 and I just loved it. When will this PCDPs be aviable in Europe -> Austria? (in retial stores)
How much will they cost (in €)?
I hope it will be aviable very soon...

....or you could do what I did (and some others here as well) and have a D-EJ1000 imported from Japan by one of the companies that specializes in such things.

Thank you, but I don't want to order it trough internet. I would have to pay high custom duty (do not know if this word is correct). I just want to know when or if these models will be aviable in Europe. Is it aviable in U.S.?

The D-EJ1000/955 and the other brand new Sony PCDP's aren't available in the US, the newest top of the line PCDP available here is the 925. We typically see the top Japanese models any where from 4 to 8 months after they are released in Japan, but sometimes they are never released here.

Hmmmmm... so this means 8-12 months for Europe... Hmmm... should I buy the 925? Is there a big difference between 1000 and 925? By the way, I think that the "new version" of 925 is actually the EJ1000 and not EJ955. 955 has got worse batteries than 925 (only Ni-Cd) and is actually a little bit bigger (or not?). I would better buy 925 than 955, just for the batteries (I mean the gum-stick batteries). Ni-Cd batteries are usseles after few months.
