i was wonderin if gettin an amp like a cha-47 would improve the sound of my d-66 enough to justify me buying it. i use a sony md player (mz-r909) as my source. its not that the headphones are hard to drive i jus want some punchier bass from my headphones

oh yeah. i have the sony r50 mdp into a jmt cha47 amp out to sony d66 eggos. you should hear punchier dynamics using the amp for sure. as long as your mdp has a line out.

these markertec cables work very well with the cha47.
