Should it be possible to use the Algorhythym Solo -R with an iPhone XS Max?

I tried connecting the iPhone to an Apple camera connector adapter to the Solo to an iQube amp, but the iPhone doesn’t seem to be recognizing the Solo. Music just plays out of the phone’s speakers.

I figured out that the CCK was the issue. It’s not necessary for connecting the Algorhythym to the iPhone X.
