Considering that they are at around the same price ~$30 on amazon, which one should i get?
I need bass, TONS of BASS, but not at the point that it makes the highs and the mids too bad (I don't want the highs to pierce my ears whenever I listen to music that includes screaming, but i still want it to be somewhat clear). I would also like to know if which one is more comfortable. Sound leak isn't a problem.

In-ear & full-size really aren't the same experience. From your description, I suspect you would be happier with the XB400. But, I have not heard the XB400, so you might want to ask here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/715697/the-audiophile-bass-lounge-basshead-club-part-ii

It's my opinion that the XB series seem a bit too overwhelming with bass. Granted, if you look at it one way, it stays true to the advertising, but I feel it goes a bit beyond.
