The Senn. HD 212's 10ft. cord has always bothered me a little bit, I generally keep it bundled up with a twist tie but I tends to get in the way. So I was wondering if it is difficult to cut it down to size and put a new headphone jack on. I've never done this sort of thing and I don't have much experience soldering. The cord is removable on these so I searched to see if there is any shorter cords out there that would fit, but I couldn't find any. If anyone knows of a cord that would work I would appreciate that as well.

re-terminating is half of making an interconnect, right?

follow this guide:
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f6/how...ep-pics-50729/

it's not hard.
You'll need:
soldering iron (try not to get one from radio shack)
solder
something to strip wires.
helping hands
neutrik plug
sponge for whiping solder, and maybe a soldering iron stand.
multimeter would be useful.

For a first timer, it'd prolly take about.. an hour or so.

EDIT: lol, the thread actuallt says what you need >_<.
