After spending many weeks reading reviews and asking for opinions I have finally boiled it down to two sets of cans.

Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro

Audio-Technica ATH-WS99

What I listen to: Trance/Progressive (Armin Van Buuren, Dash Berlin, Tritonal, W&W)

Source/Amp: Creative X-Fi Titanium & PA2V2 Amp

Intended Use: Only plan on using them in my room

That being said, has anyone here compared either of these two? I searched throughout Head-Fi and failed to find anyone who did hear both for EDM. I want something with punchy bass and clear mids since a lot of my music has emphasis on both.

TLDR; I want a basshead can that doesn't have recessed mids!

I listen to 90% EDM. I vote for WS99, I didn't like CustomOne Pro much. If you are willing to pay more, V-Moda M-100.

Thanks for the input.

The only reason why the V-Moda m100 was not on my list was because I did hear it through my amp and found the focals reccessed a bit and in some songs the bass drowned out the mids.

*EDIT* What exactly did you not like about the Custom One's?
