Anyway, I purchased some Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros, and I am really loving them. However part of the design, the wire is exposed outside of the earcup. Should I be concerned about damage? Are the drivers wires replaceable? Or what can i do to prevent damage?

Well I mean. That's how they are suppose to be. Im just worried the wire is going to get snagged on something, cut somehow, or have a short in it.
Not my photo, but gives you a good idea of what I am talking about.

You could , don't worry 
You can take off the headband to reveal the wires , the COP has a detachable cable so in case something goes wrong all you have to do is fix the wire connecting from the left to right cup .....

Be warned the COP's cable are very fragile. My cut out from one side ,so I had to replace the cable. The only downside to this headphone is the cheap stock cable.
