Hello,

I'll new impressions made soon, for custom IEMs (EarSonics EM2-iFI).

Do you have any advice to improve comfort and isolation ?
  1. Mouth closed, opened, or both alternate ? How much ? (Naturally, when I close my mouth I do not have teeth in contact...)
  2. Any specific recommendation for the hearing aid specialist ?

My previous impressions, for EarPlugs, was made mouth perfectly closed (teeth in contact).
Comfort is only so-so, and I loose most part of isolation opening the mouth.

open, biteblock. most of the ear plug manufacturers suggest this now. How much will depend on your doctor and you. Just tell her/him how you would like this to fit. Also stick your finger in your ear (just a bit) to feel the change open to closed. Some people change a huge amount, others not so much. Also how sensitive is your ear? My is excruciatingly so which means I went with a very slightly open mouth.

There is no hard and fast rule.
