Very well put. I appreciate it. I am now interested in the A10. I'm not a huge fan of excess bass or warmth.

Cool. But since you are particular about the treble, I think it will be worth the while to actually try it before purchasing it. 64 Audio has a demo program. You can give them a call and they will give you all the info. But if for some reason you are not in a position to demo these, try to demo a Sennheiser IE80. Although the treble characteristics and quality is better on the A10, these two have similar treble quantity, extension and sparkle.

^ Thanks for the info. I will look into that. I would much rather hear them first, if possible.

Just to throw in my two cents here... I just tried the Angies against the JH13v2. The quad high drivers on the Angie make a huge difference as a treble head! I'm a classical musician who is very particular about hearing all of the extended harmonics of every instrument, and while the 13v2s were great, I still can't wipe the huge smile off my face that the Angie induced :)

Also the soundstage was definitely a leap forward from the 13v2. I instinctually turned my head when I heard a panned instrument. Just saying...

Lastly, most people find that the bass dial set from 12-2 sounds balanced. There is plenty room on both ends of that to adjust to your taste.

I'm ordering them this month!
