Like many of you with more than one piece of portable audio gear, I have obsessed over the perfect way to carry my gear on a daily basis, in a safe manner.
For those of you who have the JH Layla/Rox (with CF case), Chord Hugo, and Astell-Kern 240, and are looking for a portable carry solution, I highly recommend the Underwater Kinetics 312. I purchased the case with foam, and then replaced the pick n' pluck bottom part with a custom piece of PE foam.
If you have the same equipment, and are interested in going down the custom foam route, you can contact their design department (design@mycasebuilder.com, ask for Diego) at MyCaseBuilder and reference file ID 29988.
I included a cut-out for miscellaneous cables, cleaning cloth, etc.
Turnaround was about two weeks, and cost breakdown is as follows:
$83.48 - UW Kinetics 312 (with Foam, Handle), includes Shipping ($7.49)
$34.46 - Foam, includes Shipping ($8.99 - Fedex Ground)
