Right now there has been only two Facebook and Instagram teasers about this but Custom Art and AAW have collaborated on a new very exciting IEM called Project 4+2.

Custom Art and AAW is joining hands to bring you the best of technology and expertise in the in-ear monitoring arena. Stay tuned to Project 4+2 this winter

I'll update this post when we get more infos along the way (tech, release date...).
Right now speculation is 4 BA + 2 EST or 4 BA + 1DD + 1EST (less likely as EST work in pairs of 2 or 4 generally).

Well read the thread again it was a bit open to interpretation :

4 ba's, 1 dd and 1 est ?

Whoa! A flurry of releases as we approach the end of 2020...exciting times indeed! 4 BAs + 2 DDs? Or 4 BAs and 2 ESTs?

@davidcotton and @normie610 I'm just gonna say that you are all on the right tack, just trust your first instincts haha

If you take @normie610 post then first would be 4 BA and 2 DDs but if you take @davidcotton that came first then 4 / 1 /1
So that might also mean yeah the 4 BA part is right on both count but the rest might just be something else...

Not that I am against 2 DDs and 4 BAs
I am trying to find them in the pic though...

4 BAs 1DD and 1 magnetostatic (a bit stretched but DD/Magneto come as a couple so...)

Normie610’s post was first and I think ESTs only come in pairs as well as you pointed out, so I read it as hinting to the DDs. Multi-DD seems to be in style as well with QDC Dmagic and Unique Melody 3D terminator, though those are both triple DD.

I’m going to bet on Z1R-like configuration with a DD for bass, the 4 BAs for mids and the second DD as a tweeter.

Also, is it just me or do those look like APEX modules?

Those would probably be the DD tuning ports that AAW included in their Halcyon IEMs. They kinda work like Jomo's ACU modules from what I remember.

Ugh, I so don't want or need any more iems in my life, but I am certainly interested. A conversation I had with piotr a few months back hinted that something like this might be coming. Figured it was best not to say anything until info started showing up.

Yes, the config is 4BA and 2DD, with some fancy tech inside
AAW will sell this at $749 or SG$999. For the European price we are looking at around €649. The first units are expected to ship in the first week of FEB
