Paid $2.06 for 89 octane (maybe 90? I can't recall for certain.) Note: Up here we pump and refine the stuff locally so one would expect prices would be lower than most places since we don't have to ship it very far.

Well don't feel too bad, guys, that's almost half of what we're paying in Spain and a third of what the UK are being tortured with..

Are the gas prices up there really stable? IIRC, it was about $2 during August when I was there...

2.39 for a gallon of super (93) in Brooklyn, NY. For those outside of US with the metric system - what do you use for the unit conversion ? One gallon could be either ~3.8 liters (US) or 4.54 (UK). Also I think the octane level formula is different in Europe compared to US. In other words the 91 octane level gas in US would be equivavelent to ~95 in Europe and so on.

For the three grades of gas. I buy my gas near work in Duluth GA. Outside of Atlanta. This is why I'm buying one of the Ford Escape hybred SUV's when they hit in a few months.

Well, here in jersey we would have all those soccer moms blowing themselves up
while trying to pump gas and talk on their cell phones at the same time.

It was $0.909 CDN per litre for regular at the local gas station this morning.

$0.909 x ~3.78 (conversion factor) = ~$3.43 CDN per US gallon

At the current exchange rate, that works out to be ~$2.50 US per gallon.

However, now that summer is approaching, the gas prices are on the rise. Plus, since we're having a holiday long weekend, the gas prices have spiked upwards slightly. $0.99-1.15 CDN per litre (= ~$2.73 US per gallon for regular (87-89 octane), ~$3.17 US for premium (92-94 octane)) have been reported in some places.

Doesn't look like it'll stop rising anytime soon, either.

D.

Over here, we were just at the all times high again, last week. At the moment, it's a tad lower - 1.119 Euro per liter for "Normal" and 1.219 Euro per Liter for Super (95 octane), both unleaded. Car drivers here all aren't too happy - myself included...

Greetings from Hannover!
