I'm wondering if you good folks can enlighten me.

I own the 925, and I'm reasonably happy with its sound and the line-out is great, but I'm wondering if the CT570 may perform better in the headphone amp department. Anyone out there used/owned both of these PCDP's?

Also, what kind of NiMH cells does the CT570 use?

superbaldguy,
I have Panasonic Sl-s651c(top of the line 97') and used to have Sony D-EJ925. IMO, I think the EJ925 line out is better than the my panasonic. I don't know if the ct570 line out's will be better or not, but 925 line out is better souding than the 250 dollars S651C.

The CT570 (without the external battery case) is powered by two AAA batteries. You may use rechargeable NiMH batteries (unless they're the type of rechargeable AAAs available only through Panasonic's parts department, you'll have to mod the batteries before they can charge in the PCDP), or you may use alkaline AAA batteries.
