My OBH21 has the OBH-1 un-regulated 24V power supply. Is it worth it to upgrade to the OBH-2 regulated 24V?

I like the sound of the OBH21. Transparent, and works well with the K701.

It's worth upgrading. I replaced the OBH-1 with a regulated 24VDC PSU (not the OBH-2; too costly and likely no better than this) and I liked the sound.

So something like an Elpac would suffice? How many MA do you have on your PSU?

As long as the PSU is regulated 24VDC and has at least the same current output capacity, it is an upgrade over the unregulated OBH-1 already. The one I am using is capable of up to 1000mA at 24VDC; it's way overkill but that was the only available choice anyway.

Cheers!

Well, I feel like an idiot. I just checked the PSU and the box and I have the OBH-2! The OBH 21 is supposed to come with the OBH-1 but looks like the Creek distributor sent the 2 by mistake. I had just assumed I had the 1.
