Hello <
in a few day i'm buyin hd598 >>> and i want to change my old audio card (x-fi titanium not HD)
i need to make a choice now
maximum budget 150$
i'm thinking of creative Zx and Titanium HD
i'm leaning to T-HD but it doesn't have an Amp which i really need because it was my old audio card problem (low volume)
if anyone is sure that T-HD would give me high volume and good quality i would go for
if anyone is sure that Zx has the same quality of the T-HD i would go for it

A PAV2V (Pocket Amplifier 2 Version 2) headphone amplifier, $60-$65, can easily be used with your current Titanium (non-HD).
The PAV2V low impedance should even help improve the HD558s audio quality.

The Titanium HD should have no problem driving 50-Ohm headphones like the HD558s.
The Titanium drivers (HD & non-HD) have had a lot more time to mature, compared to the newer Z, Zx, ZxR series.
