Hello,

Please do not mind my novice question, as I am new to the Forum...and still learning.

Currently my portable source is an Audio 7. I chose this unit because I wanted to RIP my CDs in the best Lossless audio quality (FLAC).

Now, I want to purchase a second DAP, and am considering either Creative Zen or Sony NWZ-A829.

For people who own either of these DAPs, which format do you RIP your music (AAC, WMA etc...)?

I want to achieve the best reproduction from my CD's, and am reaching out for a little guidance

Thanks

If you want to achieve the best reproduction from your CD's, buy a Cowon D2 instead of the Sony, as the Sony dosnt support FLAC
I have been using a A829 with a Hornet and a pair of HD-25 for a month now, and Im satisfied with the sound, but lack of FLAC support makes me regret that I didnt go for the D2....
Im ripping my FLAC's to 320kbit

I was considering the Cowon D2, but was curious on some other Manufacturers...

Alot of people say the Sony or Creative Zen have an excellent sound, and a bit warmer than the Cowon
