Anyone know of a cable that can be plugged directly into the Creative Vision:M that would eliminate the dongle adapter and give you audio out only in stereo 3.5mm (1/8) Male plug? I'd like to add a Pocket Amp2 and I don't need 4' audio and the video cable that hooks into the dongle. A nice short 6" one will do. I really like the Vision:M a lot. It's just going to take time for 3rd party MFG for cable and accessories.

this being the DIY forum, someone might be interested in making one for themselves with this info: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/archi...n-m-dongle.php

I don't know if the connector is any standard type; you might want to look through the mouser or digikey catalogs to see if there's anything that's the right size. The correct pinouts (I think) are posted in the comments.

Now all we need is someone to make it

I guess what we need is a source on the plug that's in the dongle that goes into the Vision:M. We could take and cannibalize the plug in SmallBucket's link for the ezLink. May need to pull the dongle apart and try a find a part # or MFG on the 30 pin plug. It's similar to the iPod plug and they have some kind of key that mate the plugs to specific units and are not interchangeable. Apples won’t attach to the Vision. Then it's a matter of some wire, 3.5 stereo plug and soldering to the corresponding contacts for L-R-Ground

Would something like this actually worked if you used that cable that you refered to:

This might just work!

Edit - Sorry about the double post, meant to edit
