Hi, I bought a new pair of Senn HD650 on ebay this summer and sometimes I hear crackles when I listen to music, especially with my used HeadRoom Total Bithead, but I think I can also hear it without it, so where could the problem comes from, and how can I get it fixed ? It's really annoying.

Could be a hair in the pads causing vibration, check and make anything near the drivers is clean.

If nothing is wrong with the cable, (and that usually wouldn't cause crackle) and it happens on multiple sources then it must be the HD-650 drivers, and you'll need to send back to sennheiser.

Sorry.

yes. check drivers for any lint, dust, hair. try them on another amp as well. if problem persists return them. mine have never done that.

Make sure you're using fresh batteries in the Total BitHead. If they're almost dead, you'll start to get clipping, especially on a 300ohm set of cans like the HD 650.

If you're powering it with USB power, you might be getting ground loop or computer noise problems.
