Hi, I recently bought a Cowon J3 to play my FLAC files but I have a couple problems with it that I was hoping I could get some help with.

First, it doesn't seem to drive my headphones very loud. (I have Audio Technica M50s) Which seemed pretty odd because from what I've heard about the J3 it's supposed to drive a lot louder than most players. 

Second, it only shows the album art for about 10% of my mp3 files, and it doesn't show any artwork at all for my FLAC files, which wasn't a problem on my iPod. 

Any advice/help would be really appreciated, thanks in advance.

When you turned the cowon on for the first time did you select europe or outside europe?
 
If you selected europe a volume cap inside the cowon has activated and thats why you can't get it very loud, if you selected outside europe then the cowon is not powerful enough to drive your headphones, either way i would suggest buying a cheap amp to give you the extra power you need
 
I can't help with your second question i use wav files with no artwork and i don't know how to put it on

Hmm.. I'm pretty sure I picked outside Europe, but I'll try a factory reset and do it again just in case.

Setting it to non-Europe worked! Thank you. I still have the same artwork problem, but that's not nearly as big of a problem as the low volume was so I'm happy.
