Today's workday is taking forever to pass. All the parts are finally in to build my PPAv2.

I'm only short two metal-film 10 ohm resistors. I'll put in some carbon film ones until my next order arrives.

Wheee! I got home form work and proceeded to solder components into the PPAv2 ... board until ... um ... 3:00am. I then just *had* to listen to it a bit before going to sleep! I didn't notice the time passing and had no clock nearby

All that remains is to enable the bass boost and bias it into class A.

Wheee!

The difference in sound quality is quite readily apparent as compared with my OPA2227 (or OPA2132) based CMoy with my Grado SR-80s ... The bass is finally quite well rounded. I guess I finally have enough current available to make the Grado phones well in the bass range.

Now I just need to do the casework!

Whoohoo! I can relate completely. The parts for my first diy amp(a Cmoy) have been sitting at FedEx since 7 this morning waiting for me to pick them up. Heading that way in forty minutes.
