Could someone please comment to the Panasonic SL231C?

Is it the SL-S231C or the SL-SX231C? Panasonic reuses the numbers sometimes. My 1995? S270 is my all-time favorite portable for sound, but the 2000? SX270 was terrible - I didn't like its sound, and for the first time in my life preferred MD and MP3 over a PCDP.

Generally speaking, the SX ones* aren't as impressive as the older S models, and they're going to look and feel cheap.

If we're talking about the SX series, the odds are you can do much better than that.

* not including the hi-end SX400/500 and 410/510 of course. Well I didn't like my SX510 either... the CT570 was more natural.

Oh cool, I had the Japanese S280 which has the same enclosure but less anti-shock. Was a pleasure to listen to

So would you say the SL-S231C is a good PCDP?
