could i use this with my audigy 2 zs? as in could i install both at the same time and use the m-audio one just for recording?

You could, but I'm not sure you would want to. The audigy's, although great for gaming, aren't that great for music. If you're recording and monitoring through the card, then routing the audio to the A2ZS would increase latency, and decrease sound quality... at least of the monitoring.

You can use one card for music, and one for gaming, and that's a popular choice. The Audigy 2 has a digital out that can be sent to the digital in of another card (if it has a digital in... I can't tell from the picture) so you don't have to change cables.

Your best bet would probably be to just use one for gaming and one for sound. Get the funky adapters and just hook it up to your system.
