Thanks for all the helpful comments - definitely what I was looking for. Now before I go and order one of these two, are there any others in the same class with similar features (but less than the HR-2) that I ought to consider first?

Just my 2 cents- as much enjoyment the HR-2 gave me over the 6 months I had it, the Opera is in a different class.
