Hi, can you guys recommend me some contemporary
singers who incorporate strings into their songs? Or some good songs with strings?
Things like Owen Pallet's music,
"Eleanor Rigby", "Bittersweet Symphony", "Nicest Thing", etc.
Thanks!

Edit:
By strings I mean classical orchestral instruments ie cello, violin

Thanks for the suggestion. I love Andrew Bird! Never really liked Joanna Newsom though...
Any other suggestions?

Bjork uses strings in a lot of her tracks. Plus her albums are all superbly engineered and sound great on headphones

Andrew & Noah VanNorstrand are two instrumentalist brothers. The have an album called Driftage - I think its on itunes so you could hear some samples there. It's really superb - many of the tracks feature a fiddle.

Strings make an appearance on several tracks on Elbow's excellent Seldom Seen Kid, especially One Day Like This
