Enverxis: Well, if you're looking for a phone with a lot of body and one that's easy on the highs, thumbs up for the K240S from my side as well!

i love my k240s, so comfortable, such great sound. i wouldnt say the high's are held back or anything, theyre well matched to the mid and low response. they're my primary can. i do want a little more in terms of detail and accuracy though, and another pair of closed cans. so k271s it is, and some beyers maybe when i have some money.

the biggest selling factor for the akg's is the comfort, its deluxe.

edit: forgot to mention ive seen new (non refurb) akg k240s pop up on ebay for 70-80usd too. mine were a gift so i have no idea where they came from, but defn keep an eye on ebay

I had the rs-1s and ms-2s. I had the akg501 at the same time with these and they are very complimentary. They are so different, but yet so good in their own respects.

heiyah enverxis,
Maybe its time to expand your horizons, and try the polar opposite to the grado sound :- YES, the sennheiser hd580/600/650. I guess they could be great complements for different genres of music. As for k240s, can't say much for them for I have never heard them.

Ive heard Sennheisiers' and dont like em.

Sure id love to try the HD650 or perhaps a HD600 Woody, I think i'd like that, but the others dont really interest me.
