Considering K1000->GS1000, but where can I hear a GS-1000 in the SF Bay Area?

I've called a few dealers who sell Grados (including a couple of high-end ones) and nobody seems to stock the GS-1000. Any suggestions? I don't like the idea of spending this kind of money before listening to the headphone and seeing how it fits my head and ears.

Please no mention of "you shoulda been at the April meet in San Jose" - I am still kicking myself for that.

I currently own a K-1000 (and Senn HD580 Jubiliee) and I find myself listening to the Senn most of the time - partly because I like the warmer, more forgiving sound, second because when I listen to headphone I prefer a conventional headphone design to the speakerphone of the K1000s.

I am interested in replacing the K-1000s with the GS-1000 because I've read so many descriptions about it being a great headphone for low-volume listening and that matches my needs and preferences perfectly.

If you live in the South Bay Area (Palo Alto to San Jose), own a GS-1000 and would be interested in listening to a K1000 let me know.

Thanks,

Randy
